EMACT Sexual Harassment policy package

EMACT, in partnership with an HR attorney, has created a harassment policy package that can be used by our member groups to define ethical standards of behavior and requirements. The document is totally customizable for groups.  

The policy template contains the following:


  • Various definitions of all types of harassment
  • Examples of harassment  
  • Definition of Sexual harassment
  • Quid Pro quo
  • Hostile Work environment
  • Retaliation standards
  • Complaint Process (though we advise that you seek the advice of counsel)
  • Roles and responsibilities 
  • Signature page

The harassment investigation toolkit contains the following:
  1. Dealing With A Complaint Flowchart
  2. Investigation Team Definition
  3. Investigation Occurrence Tracking Sheet
  4. Investigation Questions for Complainant
  5. Investigation Questions for the Accused
  6. Investigation Questions for Third Parties

The content of the documents should not be changed unless they are reviewed by an appropriate resource that understands federal and state laws. The logo of the theatre group and additional practices that a theatre group may impose to ensure the safety and security of actors and production teams may be added.
